All about UEFA Euro 2024
UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers are back ! It is also the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, organised by UEFA and it is definitely the big year for football players across the world. This year Euro 2024 will be hosted in Germany, and will run from March to November 2023, with the play-offs for the remaining finals taking place on 21 and 26 March 2024.

Where will Euro 2024 be held?
Three-time winners Germany will host the 17th UEFA European Championship in 2024, and West Germany has hosted the tournament back in 1988. What’s more, Germany also held the 2006 FIFA World Cup back then. UEFA Euro 2024 will take place across ten world-class stadiums in Germany, while the Euro final will take place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday July 14.

When is Euro 2024?
UEFA Euro 2024 is scheduled to begin from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The draw for the tournament will be in Hamburg on Saturday December 2. Germany is automatically advanced to the Group A as the host nation, and Germany will play in the opening match in Munich, at the Munich Football Arena (Allianz Arena) on Friday June 14, 2024.
How many teams qualify for Euro 2024?
FYI, Italy are the defending champions for Euro 2020, against England and won by the penalties in the final. While for the Euro 2024, Germany have already automatically qualified for the finals as hosts of the tournament. The remaining 23 groups will be filled through the results of the European Qualifiers which run until November 2023, and via play-offs scheduled for March 2024. The top two teams in each of the ten European Qualifiers groups will then be assured of a finals place.
Euro2024 Format
Euro 2024 format format will be the same as for Euro 2020. Teams are placed into ten groups of five-six, featuring the home and away in a round-robin format. The winners and runners-up for each group play will advance to the final match. The remaining three teams will be decided through the play-offs on 21 and 26 March 2024, featuring 12 teams selected based on their performance in the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League.

Albärt the teddy bear is the official mascot for the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany. The name Albärt was voted among UEFA.com users and schoolchildren across Europe, through the UEFA Football in Schools programme. The fun and likeable character of Albärt the teddy bear will inspire more people to enjoy playing football.
